Being a Chicagoan living in Charlotte for past 2 years, in often looking for a 'taste of home' and this spot is it. This Harolds is just as good as some of my favorite ones in Chicago all the way down to the "mild sauce". I've only had take out service, but there is a lounge as well and I think they do Trivia night and other things as well but I've never participated.

Always a pleasure to work with Harolds Chicken & Ice Bar as a community partner bringing joy whether it be a school and/or marginalized community. Providing food, school supplies, or an environment to host a give back to support these efforts using their catering that they offer.

Came here 7/15 in the afternoon because another restaurant we originally wanted to try, had a 2hr wait. Food was awesome! We both had the chicken and waffles. Chicken taste like it was home made and the waffles tasted like a funnel cake, but with out a lot of grease like you normally get with funnel cakes, (the reason why I don’t get them) but these were awesome, especially if you love funnel cakes but wish they didn’t deep fry them. Drinks were also good and strong! Bartender(will post name once I find receipt) was very helpful and attentive as well. They wasn’t busy so I can’t say how everything will be once they are but my experience was great! Will be coming back.

I lived in Chicago for about 10 years and I would go to Harold’s Chicken all the time. This location in Charlotte is the biggest yet. Very nice space. The chicken is still super fresh and delicious as always. This is a blast from the past.

I had an amazing night at Harold’s Chicken & Ice Bar - Charlotte! The food was on point—crispy, flavorful chicken with just the right amount of seasoning, and the vibes in the restaurant were unmatched. But the real star of the night was Anyssa, the bartender! She went above and beyond to make sure my drinks were perfect and my experience was top-tier. Super friendly, attentive, and knows how to mix a great drink! If you stop by, make sure to sit at the bar and ask for her—you won’t be disappointed!

The Best of The Best. Even though me and my fiance didn't go during a popular hour or day; we still had a great overall experience. Thanks to our sweet and kind server Kimberly, she made our first time there easy and comfortable (superstar customer service). On to the food. The food was cooked and seasoned to perfection thanks to Chef Silence. To be honest he made comfort fried food better than some southern grandmas with the big arm. We only waited 10-15 min for everything to come out, and trust it was devoured in less time. 10/10 must try again btw.. I live 1hr away.definitely worth the gas.

I live in Atlanta and was surprised to see a Harrolds in Charlotte during a visit to see family. I think I like this location the best. Food was amazing and the vibe was laid back and friendly. We had a hennyrita, sweet Potato tots, fried okra, chicken basket, and combo chicken/fish baskets. Portion sizes were excellent we did not leave hungry lol

I came out for my 53rd birthday and the vibe, music and food was lit and exceptional. Everyone needs to come by for a drink and food. Special shout out to the kitchen, Ron and Mia for the service and making sure I had a good af time.
